Private Practice for Go Karters

Driver’s with their own go karts are eligible to practice on the International Racetrack. Conditions do apply.

  • 10 am to 4:00 pm - (last session at 3:30pm)

  • $40 Practice for Bambini Drivers, 4 - 6 years old

  • $50 Practice for Cadet 9/12 and Junior Drivers, 7 - 12 years old

  • $60 Practice for Senior Drivers, 13 years and old

Driver Requirements & Refund Policy

  • All drivers must complete and sign a MakoTrac Practice Waiver Form on every visit before entering the circuit.

  • Drivers must wear the correct protective equipment in accordance with current Karting Australia regulations.

  • All karts must be safe, mechanically sound, and in proper working order before entering the circuit.

Refund Policy

Please ensure both your equipment and the weather conditions are suitable before commencing practice.

No refunds will be issued once a kart has entered the racing circuit, including in the event of adverse weather or changing track conditions.

We recommend that all participants:

  • Check the weather forecast before travelling.

  • Ensure their kart has been thoroughly inspected and is in safe working condition.

  • Bring appropriate equipment and spare parts to minimise disruptions to your practice day.

By entering the circuit, drivers acknowledge and accept these conditions.

Correct Race Gear

- Suit must be one piece, recommended to be of an abrasion resistant material

- Full finger gloves

- Boots that cover the ankle

- Full face Helmet that is or exceeds, Australia Standard AS/NZS 1698:2006.

 

Private Practice for Motorbikers

Driver’s with their own motorbike are eligible to practice on the International Racetrack. Firstly every rider must be a member of a MA or MQ approved motorcycle club eg. FAR NORTH QLD ROAD RACING CLUB. For more information please follow this link and contact the Far Queensland Motorbike Club for more information.

$5 Makotrac Licence, valid for 365 days

$50 Practice forJunior Riders, 7 - 12 years old

$60 Practice for Senior Riders, 13 years and old

All riders must have the correct rear gear and their motorcycle must be in safe working order. Conditions apply.

Motorcycle Gear

The following are items are paraphrased, each rider must make themselves aware of the current rules as stipulated by Motorcycle QLD;

- Suits must be leather suit. Can be two piece jacket and pants, but not be able to seperate in a fall.

- Full finger leather gloves

- High boots that cover the ankles and calves. It must be made of a leather material.

- Full face Helmet that is or exceeds, Australia Standard AS/NZS 1698:2006.
