A Note to Our Go Kart Action Community

To all our hire kart customers — thank you.

For many years, Go Kart Action has been more than just a hire kart track. It has been a place where friendships were formed, confidence was built, and a genuine love for motorsport was shared. We are deeply grateful to the local community, visiting families, and loyal customers who returned time and time again and made this place what it became.

It’s been a great ride.
Along the way, we’ve met some truly amazing people and shared countless memorable moments — from first-time drivers to long-time regulars who became familiar faces and friends.

Go Kart Action was built on a vision that began with Horst Kipper, who opened the track in 1998 with a strong desire to give back to the karting community and help grow the sport. One of his greatest joys was seeing young children get involved in what he believed was a fun, inclusive sport for the whole family.

Karting, to Horst, was about more than racing.
It taught focus, discipline, awareness, mechanical understanding, and respect for safety — lessons that stayed with drivers long after they left the track. He believed that young people who learned to drive karts would grow into more confident and safer drivers on the road, and more focused individuals in life.

While this is not a goodbye, it does mark the closure of the hire kart track as part of our current operations. As time moves on, our family is shifting focus and is open to expressions of interest from parties wishing to lease the hire kart facility. It is our sincere hope that someone may continue the Go Kart Action name and carry forward the legacy that Horst began.

MakoTrac International Racetrack Continues

The MakoTrac International Racetrack, originally named MakoTrac, will continue operating for years to come. The 1.35 km circuit remains dedicated to supporting local clubs and organised motorsport, backed by recognised associations.

Although many things have changed over the years, we hope serious racers will continue to enjoy and make full use of this unique international-standard track.
